Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the DropToMove website, licence server and app handle, and why. The controller is Enbom Group LLC (“we”). We collect only what is needed to sell and activate licences. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or third-party cookies.

1. When you buy a licence

We collect your e-mail address, the order number and the language you used on the site. We use them to send you the licence key, to help you if something goes wrong and to meet accounting obligations. Payment is processed by Stripe, which receives your payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number.

2. When you activate the app

The app sends our licence server:

• your licence key;
• an identifier of your Mac: a salted SHA-256 hash of its hardware UUID. The UUID itself never leaves your Mac;
• your Mac's name as set in System Settings, so you can see where the licence is active;
• the app's version.

We use this to keep one licence on one Mac, to let you move it, and to prevent abuse. The app repeats the check about once a week.

3. What the app does not send

DropToMove never sends the names, contents or locations of your files anywhere. Its settings, favourite folders, trial dates and licence record are stored only on your Mac.

4. The website

The site sets one cookie, lang, to remember your language for a year. Your IP address is kept only in the server's memory to limit repeated requests, and is discarded within 12 hours; the licence server does not write IP addresses to its database or logs. Our hosting provider, Hetzner Online GmbH (Finland), may keep its own technical logs.

5. E-mail

Licence e-mails are sent through [e-mail provider]. We do not send newsletters or marketing.

6. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we process purchase and activation data to perform our contract with you, abuse-prevention data on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting licences, and accounting records to meet legal obligations.

7. How long we keep data

We keep licence and activation records for as long as the licence exists, and purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your data sooner; we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

8. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, for corrections, for deletion or to restrict its use, and you can object to processing. Write to [email protected]. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

9. Children

DropToMove is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We will post any update to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
